| Usage Metal jacketed gaskets comprise of a metallic outer shell with either a metallic or non metallic asbestos free filler. The filler material imparts resiliency, while the metal jacket protects the filler and resists pressures, temperatures and corrosion. These gaskets are are mainly used for heat exchanger applications. They have limited resilience and recovery properties and require high flange finish and high bolt loads in order to effect a seal. |
